Void story
The darkness crept along the streets like a suffocating fog, swallowing up the feeble glow of street lamps and the pale faces of the lost souls who wandered its paths. I walked amongst them, feeling the weight of their despair and loneliness pressing down on me like a heavy mantle.
As I turned a corner, I saw a figure standing at the end of the alley. It was tall and gaunt, with eyes like black pits and a mouth twisted into a grotesque grin. I knew then that this was not a creature of this world, but a being from the abyss, come to claim another victim for its twisted pleasure.
I tried to run, but my feet felt as if they were stuck in quicksand. The creature advanced on me, its malevolent laughter echoing in my ears. I closed my eyes and waited for the end, but it never came. When I opened my eyes, the creature was gone and I was standing alone in the empty alley.
I realized then that the true terror was not the creature, but the empty void of existence that I felt within myself. The creature was just a manifestation of my own fear and despair, a reflection of the darkness that lurked within me. And as I walked away from the alley, I knew that I would never be free of it.
